For radiator support, you're looking at up to a 420mm radiator up front, as well as a 360mm radiator on the top panel. An additional three fans can be installed. Like our top TUF Gaming case pick, Asus includes four fans with the Asus ROG Strix Helios.įour fans are preinstalled (without RGB lighting) and are all connected to an included fan hub. With the side panel attached, this effectively hides the cabling behind two panes of glass, while the area to the rear side is slightly more translucent. You may have noticed that only three tempered glass panels are viewable on the outside and that's because the fourth actually covers the cable management area behind the motherboard. We'd recommend water cooling for such a case, however. In terms of sizing for the GPU and CPU cooler, Asus allows for a card with a length of up to 450mm, and a CPU cooler can have a maximum height of 190mm. RGB strips can be found inside that also support the AURA software, meaning you should be able to address and synchronize all lighting effects within this chassis, so long as your other components are also compatible. A further three can be installed up top with the aforementioned radiator mount to aid with keeping everything inside operating within optimal temperature ranges. An additional 140mm fan is also present on the rear. Asus didn't cheap out with the included case fans as three 120mm Aura Sync RGB fans are preinstalled on the front panel. The 4mm tempered glass side panel is smoked to create a visual splendor when paired up with some internal RGB lighting. An additional 360mm radiator can be installed up top and there are dust filters everywhere. The front panel has perforated sides that provide most of the intake and a 360mm radiator can be installed here to take advantage of immediate access. The Asus TUF Gaming GT501 shouldn't be purchased for airflow alone as other full-front mesh panel cases would offer far better performance, but there's ample space for multiple radiators and you won't have any issue feeding case fans with cool air. Asus knows a thing or two about cooling a PC and the team behind the GT501 ensured there was plenty of ventilation for airflow in the design. It's also a stunner, especially in this gray color and the all-metal chassis feels premium to work with. The chassis itself will support motherboards up to E-ATX, which offers ample customization and build configurations. It's a large mid-tower case and offers excellent value when compared to other options from reputable brands. Our favorite PC case Asus makes is the TUF Gaming GT501.
